Tom Kay is a musician from the UK. Born in Hull to a musical family. He started playing guitar when he was 6 years old, By age 9 he was gigging with his guitar teacher at his student showcases. Tom has played many gigs since. In 2006 Tom decided to focus more on his solo music and left his band. Tom decided to take a few singing lessons and get his voice up to scratch. He started playing a local open mic night where he met acoustic singer songwriter, Mike Rogers. Mike was a big influence on Tom and helped him through the early stages of being a solo artist. Ever since then Tom has been playing various gigs in and around Hull such as the springboard festival, Beverley folk festival, Hull university and Filey folk festival. In 2008 Tom was asked to support Jason Feddy on one of the dates on his UK tour. In 2009 Tom was asked to support him again, this time in his hometown of Harrogate. "Its always a great experience and an honour to support Jason, He's an amazing songwriter and a great person". Says Kay. Tom is currently working on an E.P entitled 'Emptiness To Everything' and hopes to release it next year. When the E.P is finished he hopes to promote it by playing anywhere and everywhere he can, He also hopes to play some gigs out of town.
